These terms govern your use of blti.company, the courses Better Leaders Training Institute LLC ("BLTI", "we", "us") sells through it, and the free tools on it. By creating an account, making a purchase or using a free tool, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
Who can use BLTI
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or make a purchase. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use BLTI only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your password confidential. One account is for one person: accounts may not be shared, and a seat purchased in bulk by an employer may only be redeemed by one employee.
If you join a course through a seat your employer or another company bought, that company can see your progress in that course (as described in our Privacy Policy) and can grant you extra final exam attempts.
Purchases and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we don't store your full card details. A corporate buyer purchasing multiple seats receives one redemption code per seat, each usable once. A course bought as a gift is delivered to the recipient as a redemption code. Paid extras offered by our free tools (such as a full leadership report or a resume cover letter) are digital products delivered straight after payment.
Refunds
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not yet completed the final exam for that course. Refund requests after a certificate has been issued, or on a redeemed bulk seat once the individual has started the course, are handled at BLTI's discretion. Your license to course content
Purchasing or being granted access to a course gives you a personal, non-transferable license to view its content for your own learning. You may not download, redistribute, publicly perform, record, or re-upload course video or PDF material, or share your login or a redemption code with anyone else. PDF lessons are provided for on-screen reading only; the in-browser viewer's watermarking and disabled save/print controls are there to discourage unauthorized copying, not as a guarantee against it. Please respect the license regardless.
How courses work
- Units open in order. The first unit is open from the start; each next unit opens once you pass the one before it, either by its unit quiz or by its skip test.
- Skip tests. A unit may offer a "skip what you know" test. You must answer every question correctly (100%), and you get one attempt. If you pass, the unit counts as completed and passed, and its lessons close for good. If you don't pass, you study the unit as normal. Passing a skip test never affects your certificate.
- Course projects. Where a course requires a project, it is graded by AI and must be passed before the final exam opens. You can revise and resubmit it. If you disagree with a grade, contact us and a member of staff will review your submission.
- Final exam. Each final exam has a time limit, enforced by our server, and a set number of attempts.
Proctored tests and academic integrity
Final exams are taken in full screen with your webcam and screen sharing on; skip tests are taken in full screen without the webcam. Before either starts, you'll be shown the rules and must consent to the monitoring described in our Privacy Policy.
- Once a proctored test has started, leaving full screen, switching to another tab or window, minimizing, or clicking outside the test ends your attempt immediately.
- An attempt ended this way is sent to our team for an integrity review, and your access to that course is paused until they decide. They will either clear it (the attempt doesn't count and you may retake it) or uphold it (it counts as a failed attempt). Either way, your access is restored and you're emailed the decision.
- If you have an accessibility need or a device limitation that makes this monitoring impractical, contact us before your test: we can grant an exemption for your attempt.
Attempting to circumvent the monitoring, receiving unauthorized help, or otherwise trying to obtain a pass or a certificate dishonestly violates these terms. It may result in the attempt being failed, your attempts on that test being used up, suspension of your account, and, if discovered after the fact, revocation of a certificate already issued.
Certificates
You receive a course certificate when you pass its final exam, having met the course's other requirements (every unit passed, and the project where one is required). A certificate reflects that you completed the course's requirements as assessed at the time it was issued. Certificates carry a unique number and can be verified by anyone, without logging in, on our certificate verification page.
AI features
The AI Coach, the Resume Checker (including cover letters and interview questions) and project grading use AI. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is provided for learning and practice, not as professional, legal, HR, financial or career advice, and you should use your own judgment before relying on it. You keep ownership of what you submit (your messages, resume, job postings and project work) and give us permission to process it, including through our AI provider, to provide the feature to you. Please don't submit information you aren't entitled to share or sensitive information you wouldn't want processed this way.
Free tools
Our free tools, including the Resume Checker, the Leadership Flex Check and the Leadership ROI Calculator, are provided for information and self-reflection. The Leadership Flex Check is a self-assessment, not a psychological or clinical evaluation. ROI Calculator results are estimates based on the figures you enter, not a guarantee of savings. A resume score or rewrite doesn't guarantee an interview or a job.
Emails from us
When you give us your email address, you'll receive the Leadership Minute, a short daily leadership tip, as described in our Privacy Policy. Every one has a link to stop it, and account holders can also switch it off on their account page. We also send service emails about your account, purchases and courses.
Prohibited conduct
In addition to the above, you agree not to: attempt to access another user's account or data; scrape, copy or systematically extract course content, test questions or answers; use bots or automated tools to take tests or use our features; use the AI features to create unlawful, harmful or infringing content; interfere with the site's operation or security; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including for the academic-integrity violations described above. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account page (see our Privacy Policy for what deletion removes).
Disclaimer
Courses and tools are provided "as is," for educational purposes. Completing a course or earning a certificate does not guarantee any particular career, employment, or business outcome.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
